As the Interpreter Coordinator for the First Judicial District
of Pennsylvania, I have a need for Interpreters on a daily basis. Due to Philadelphia
having such a diverse culture, it is also necessary for me to obtain interpreters
services for a wide range of languages. For several years, Quantum has been partnering
with the FJD to provide quality Interpreters for our courtrooms. Not only can I count

Quantum interpreted and transcribed numerous recorded prison telephone
conversations from Haitian Creole to English for an Aggravated Assault case in April
of 2010.
The phone calls contained numerous admissions by multiple defendants and were critical
to the case, however, the District Attorney's Office has a very limited budget and
the cost of the interpretation and transcription became a significant issue.
Quantum's fees were literally half of those estimated by several other companies.
The value turned out to be tremendous. Quantum's interpreter did an excellent,
professional and timely job and I found the staff to be immediately responsive to
any issues. In addition, because the evidence was so critical, every effort
was made by the defense to have it excluded most notably to challenge the expertise
of the interpreter.
The interpreter’s educational background and experience was so impressive and extensive,
that the Court did not even require a hearing in finding she was more than qualified
to have her interpretation and transcription relied upon. It is without hesitation
that I highly recommend Quantum, Inc.
